# How to Add a Separate Cash on Delivery (COD) Fee to the COD Form

Adding a **separate COD fee** allows you to charge customers an additional amount when they choose **Cash on Delivery (COD)** as their payment method. This fee can help cover the extra costs associated with handling COD orders, such as courier service charges. This guide explains how to enable and configure the COD fee in the Releasit COD Form & Upsells app.

### Step 1: Enable the COD Fee in the App

1. Open the **Releasit **app.
2. Navigate to the **Settings & Integrations **page.
3. Click on the **General** section.
4. Locate the option to **enable a separate COD fee **and activate it.

### Step 2: Understanding How the COD Fee Works

* The **COD fee is applied only to orders selecting Cash on Delivery** as the payment method.
* This fee is added separately in the order summary so customers can see it before checkout.
* The fee amount can be customized based on your business needs and courier charges.

### Step 3: Verify the COD Fee on the Checkout Form

1. After enabling the fee, open your store’s checkout page.
2. Select Cash on Delivery (COD) as the payment option.
3. Check that the additional COD fee is correctly displayed in the order total.
4. If the fee does not appear, refresh the page or check the app settings again.
