How to Assign a SKU to the Additional COD Fee in Releasit

If you want to track your additional Cash on Delivery (COD) fee as a product using a SKU in Shopify, this guide explains how to set it up and share the information with Releasit support so they can link it to your fee.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Create a New Product in Shopify

Go to Shopify Admin > Products > Add product.
This product will be used to represent the additional COD fee.

Set the Product Title to Match the COD Fee Name

Enter a product title that exactly matches the name of your COD fee in the Releasit app.

Hide the Product From All Sales Channels

Under the Publishing section, click Manage, then uncheck all sales channels so the product is not visible on your store.

Set the Price to Match the COD Fee

Make sure the product price matches the fee amount you've configured in Releasit.

Disable Inventory Tracking and Add a SKU

Uncheck “*Track quantity**” under Inventory and assign a unique SKU to the product.

Save the Product

Click Save to finalize the product setup.

Retrieve the Product JSON

In your browser, open the product page in your Shopify admin. At the end of the URL, add .json
Example:

https://yourstore.myshopify.com/admin/products/1234567890.json

Then press Enter.

Share the JSON With Releasit Support

Copy all the content from the browser page and send it to Releasit support via the in-app chat or support contact.

Wait for Confirmation

Once you've sent the data, the support team will link the SKU product to your COD fee in the app.

Need Assistance?

If you run into any issues during setup or need help with the configuration, contact Releasit support from within the app.
