How to Assign a SKU to the Additional COD Fee in Releasit

If you want to track your additional Cash on Delivery (COD) fee as a product using a SKU in Shopify, this guide explains how to set it up and share the information with Releasit support so they can link it to your fee.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Create a New Product in Shopify

  • Go to Shopify Admin > Products > Add product.
  • This product will be used to represent the additional COD fee.

  1. Set the Product Title to Match the COD Fee Name

  • Enter a product title that exactly matches the name of your COD fee in the Releasit app.

  1. Hide the Product From All Sales Channels

  • Under the Publishing section, click Manage, then uncheck all sales channels so the product is not visible on your store.

  1. Set the Price to Match the COD Fee

  • Make sure the product price matches the fee amount you've configured in Releasit.

  1. Disable Inventory Tracking and Add a SKU

  • Uncheck “Track quantity” under Inventory and assign a unique SKU to the product.

  1. Save the Product

  • Click Save to finalize the product setup.

  1. Retrieve the Product JSON

  • In your browser, open the product page in your Shopify admin. At the end of the URL, add `.json

`

  • Example:

https://yourstore.myshopify.com/admin/products/1234567890.json

  • Then press Enter.

  1. Share the JSON With Releasit Support

  • Copy all the content from the browser page and send it to Releasit support via the in-app chat or support contact.

  1. Wait for Confirmation

  • Once you've sent the data, the support team will link the SKU product to your COD fee in the app.

Need Assistance?

  • If you run into any issues during setup or need help with the configuration, contact Releasit support from within the app.
