How to Convert a Draft Order Into a Cash on Delivery (COD) Order in Shopify
In this guide, you’ll learn how to manually convert a draft order into a standard order using the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method in Shopify. This process can be useful when you’ve recovered an abandoned order or made edits to an order created through the Releasit COD form.
Open the Draft Order and Set Payment as Due Later
In your Shopify admin, open the draft order you want to convert.
Scroll down and activate the Payment due later option to mark the order as unpaid and ready for COD.
Click on “Create Order”
After selecting the payment option, click Create order at the bottom of the draft.
Order is created with Payment pending status
This status is default for all Cash on Delivery orders
Once completed, the draft order will be converted into a standard order with payment pending status.
