# How to Disable Cash on Delivery (COD) When a Gift Card Is Included in the Order

Follow this tutorial to hide Cash on Delivery (COD) in Shopify for gift cards.

# Step-by-Step Guide

### Step 1: Install the Releasit Cash On Delivery App

* To begin, make sure the Releasit Cash On Delivery Fee COD app is installed on your Shopify store. You can find it on the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/cash-on-delivery-fee):

### Step 2: Open the "Limit COD" Page in the App

* Once the app is installed, open it from your Shopify admin and navigate to the **Limit COD** section:

### Step 3: Enable the Gift Card Restriction

* In the Limit COD section, locate the option labeled "Hide cash on delivery for gift cards" and activate it:

### Step 4: You're Done

* After enabling this setting, COD will automatically be hidden from the Shopify checkout if the customer’s order includes a gift card product.

* This helps ensure that only valid payment methods are shown for gift card purchases, which must typically be paid using prepaid methods (like credit card or PayPal).
