How to Enable the Facebook Conversions API in Releasit

The Facebook Conversions API (CAPI) allows you to send purchase and event data directly from your server to Facebook, improving tracking accuracy and attribution. This is particularly useful for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, where traditional tracking methods may not capture all events correctly.

This guide explains how to enable and configure the Facebook Conversions API in the Releasit app.

Step 1: Open the Analytics Settings in Releasit

Open the Releasit app.
Go to the Settings & Integrations section.
Navigate to the Analytics page.

Step 2: Add the Facebook Conversions API

Click Add Item to open the list of available tracking integrations.
Select Facebook Conversions API from the options.

Step 3: Generate an Access Token for Your Facebook Pixel

To connect Releasit to the Facebook Conversions API, you need an access token from your Facebook Business Manager.

Open Facebook Business Manager.
Navigate to Events Manager.
Select your Facebook Pixel.
Generate an Access Token for your pixel.

Watch this tutorial on how to generate an access token:

Step 4: Enter Your Pixel ID and Access Token in Releasit

Copy your Pixel ID and Access Token from Facebook.
Go back to the Releasit app.
Paste both values into the corresponding fields.
Click Save to complete the setup.

Step 5: Verify That Facebook CAPI is Working

After saving your settings, test a purchase event on your store.
Check Facebook Events Manager to confirm that events are being sent via the Conversions API.
If data does not appear, ensure your Pixel ID and Access Token are entered correctly.

Why Use the Facebook Conversions API?

Improves tracking accuracy by sending data directly from the server.
Reduces reliance on browser cookies, which may be blocked by privacy settings.
Ensures better attribution for COD orders that may not be tracked properly by standard pixels.
