How to Track Campaign Performance Using UTM Parameters in Releasit

UTM tracking is a useful method to understand where your traffic is coming from and how well your marketing campaigns are performing. In this guide, you’ll learn what UTMs are, how to add them to your ads, and how to track and view them inside the Releasit app.

What Are UTM Parameters?

UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters are tags added to the end of a URL. These parameters help you identify the source, medium, and campaign associated with a specific link.

Example URL with UTMs:

https://www.example.com/product?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=summer_sale

utm_source=facebook → where the traffic is coming from
utm_medium=social → the type of traffic (e.g. social, email, cpc)
utm_campaign=summer_sale → the name of the campaign

When used consistently, UTMs make it easier to see which platforms and ads are generating orders.
