How to uninstall and reinstall an app in Shopify

Sometimes a fresh install resolves unexpected behavior. This guide walks you through removing an app from your store and reinstalling it from Shopify Admin.

Step 1: Open the uninstall option

Go to the app's main page in Shopify Admin. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner, then select Uninstall.

Step 2: Confirm the uninstall

Click the red Uninstall app button so the app is fully removed from your store.

Step 3: Find the app in your uninstalled list

In Shopify Admin, go to Apps and open the list of uninstalled apps. Locate the app you want to reinstall and click its three-dot menu (⋯).

Step 4: Reinstall the app

Click Install app and follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation. The app will be active on your store again once the process finishes.
