# Why Google Autocomplete Has a Cost on Releasit

Google Autocomplete is not a free service. It’s a paid feature provided by Google to help businesses improve address accuracy and reduce delivery errors by suggesting real-time address matches from Google Maps data.

### How Google Autocomplete Works

* This feature is part of Google’s Places API, which is used in various applications to enhance location-based functionality. Every time a customer starts typing their address and selects a suggested result, that interaction is counted as an Autocomplete session.

### Why Releasit Charges $0.020 per Session

* On Releasit, Autocomplete sessions are billed **at $0.020**. This small difference covers Shopify transaction fees associated with account top-ups. Releasit **does not make a profit** from this feature.
