How to Add Additional Address Fields to Your COD Form in Releasit

If you need to collect extra address details from your customers, such as apartment numbers, building names, or landmarks, you can add custom address fields to the Releasit COD Form. These fields will be automatically linked to Address Line 2 in Shopify and your shipping platforms.

This guide explains how to add and configure additional address fields in your form.

Step 1: Open the Form Designer in Releasit

Open the Releasit app.
Navigate to the Form Designer page.

Step 2: Add a Custom Field to the Form

Scroll down and click on "Add a custom field or text".

Note: If you don’t see this option, contact Releasit support from the app for assistance.

Step 3: Configure the Custom Address Field

Select Custom Text Field from the available options.
Customize the field settings based on your needs:
Field label (e.g., "Apartment Number" or "Building Name")
Placeholder text (e.g., "Enter additional address details")
Set as required (optional)

Step 4: Link the Field to Address Line 2

To ensure the extra address details are correctly saved in Shopify:

Scroll down to the Field Connection settings.
Select "Address 2" as the field connection.






Note: If you add multiple custom address fields, their values will be combined in Address Line 2 in Shopify and your shipping platforms.

Step 5: Save and Verify Your Changes

Click Save to apply the changes.
Open your store and test the form by entering an address in the new field.
Complete a test order and check if the custom address details appear correctly in:
Shopify’s Address 2 field
Your shipping platform (if connected)
