How to add or edit a Fulfillment Location on your Shopify Store
One of the most important steps to ensure your orders are processed correctly through Releasit is to make sure your store has at least one active fulfillment location configured in Shopify. Without this setup, the system may fail to load data properly, which can lead to issues like infinite loading when processing orders.
From your Shopify admin dashboard, go to the bottom-left corner and click on “Settings.” This is the starting point for managing your store’s logistics.
Within the Settings menu, select “Shipping and Delivery.”
This is where you manage your shipping rates, zones, and fulfillment locations.
Locate the “General Shipping Rates” section.
Scroll down until you find the “Fulfillment Locations” section.
Here, you'll see a list of the locations currently assigned to handle shipping for your orders.
You have two options:
Edit an existing location to ensure it's active
Or add a new location if one hasn’t been configured yet
If you don’t see the correct location listed, go back to the main Settings menu and click on “Locations.”
From there, you can create a new location, which will represent the point from which your orders are fulfilled.
It’s crucial that when setting up this new location, you enable the option to fulfill online orders, as this is what allows Releasit to recognize it properly.
Once you have an active fulfillment location, make sure to assign the corresponding inventory to that location from each product’s settings. Without this step, Shopify may not know where to fulfill the order from.
Having this configuration set correctly ensures that:
Your orders are processed without errors
Releasit works seamlessly with your store
You avoid any display or data loading issues
