How to Block Specific Email Addresses from Placing Orders in Releasit
If you notice repeat fraudulent activity or spam orders from certain email addresses, Releasit allows you to block those emails directly from the app. Once blocked, those users will no longer be able to submit orders through your COD form using the specified email.
This article will guide you through the steps to block specific email addresses using the User Blocking feature.
Why Block Specific Emails?
Blocking email addresses can help prevent:
- Repeated fake orders from the same email
- Customers who repeatedly cancel or refuse delivery
- Misuse of discount codes or promotions
Step-by-Step: Block an Email Address
- Open the Releasit App
- From your Shopify Admin, go to Apps
- Select Releasit COD Form & Upsells
- Navigate to Fraud Prevention Settings
- In the Releasit dashboard, go to Fraud Prevention
- Click on User Blocking
- Add the Email Address to the Block List
- In the User Blocking section, find the field to block email addresses
- Enter the email address you want to block (e.g., example@email.com)
- Click Save or **Add **(depending on your app version)
Once added, that email will no longer be able to place orders through your form.
Tips
- You can add multiple email addresses if needed.
- If someone is using variations of an email (like with dots or aliases), consider blocking by IP or phone number as well.
- Use this feature alongside other fraud prevention tools for better protection.
