How to Disable Cash on Delivery (COD) When a Gift Card Is Included in the Order
Follow this tutorial to hide Cash on Delivery (COD) in Shopify for gift cards.
To begin, make sure the Releasit Cash On Delivery Fee COD app is installed on your Shopify store. You can find it on the Shopify App Store:
Once the app is installed, open it from your Shopify admin and navigate to the Limit COD section:
In the Limit COD section, locate the option labeled "Hide cash on delivery for gift cards" and activate it:
After enabling this setting, COD will automatically be hidden from the Shopify checkout if the customer’s order includes a gift card product.
This helps ensure that only valid payment methods are shown for gift card purchases, which must typically be paid using prepaid methods (like credit card or PayPal).
