Cash on Delivery (COD) is widely used by customers in many countries who prefer to pay only upon receiving their orders. If your store serves regions where COD is expected or preferred, it’s important to make it available at checkout.

Follow the steps below to enable Cash on Delivery in your Shopify store.

Step-by-Step: Enabling Cash on Delivery on Shopify

Step 1: Go to Shopify Settings

Log into your Shopify admin and click on Settings in the bottom-left corner of your dashboard.

Step 2: Open the Payments Section

From the Settings page, click on Payments.

Step 3: Add a Manual Payment Method

Scroll to the Manual payment methods section and click Add manual payment method. From the dropdown, select Cash on Delivery (COD).

Step 4: Enable COD

Click on Activate to enable the Cash on Delivery option in your checkout.

Step 5: Review How It Appears at Checkout

Once activated, your customers will see the COD option as a payment method during checkout.
