How to Restrict or Allow Specific Postal Codes on Your Releasit Form

If your business only ships to certain areas—or you want to avoid problematic delivery zones—you can restrict or allow specific postal codes (also known as ZIP codes or pincodes) in your Releasit COD form. This feature helps you control where your Cash on Delivery (COD) service is available.

This article will walk you through how to set it up.

Step 1: Open the Fraud Prevention Page

1. Go to your Shopify admin panel
2. Open the Releasit COD Form & Upsells app
3. Click on the Fraud Prevention section

Step 2: Scroll to “Limit the Postal Codes on Your Form”

• Find the section labeled “Limit the postal codes on your form.”

Step 3: Choose a Limitation Method

You’ll see two options:

Option A: Exclude specific postal codes

• Choose this if you want to allow orders from most areas but block a few known postal codes.

Option B: Allow only specific postal codes

• Choose this if you only want to receive orders from a limited list of areas.

Step 4: Prepare Your Postal Code List

1. Click to Download **the sample file **provided by Releasit.

2. Open the file and enter your postal codes—either on separate lines or separated by commas.

3. Save the file on your computer.

Step 5: Upload Your Postal Code List

1. Click Upload File in the app

2. Review the preview of your postal codes
3. Click Upload File to apply the changes

Step 6: All Set

• Releasit will now use your uploaded list to determine whether customers can place orders based on the postal code they enter.
