How to set up per-market fees in COD Fee & Partial Pay app

If your store sells into multiple Shopify Markets, you can now set a separate COD fee for each one instead of using a single flat fee for every customer. This guide walks through setup, along with what changes on Shopify Plus versus other plans, and how to get translated order confirmations

  1. Open the Releasit COD Fee & Partial Pay app and go to Fee Settings, in step 3 you will find "Configure your additional fee."

  1. Under Per-market fees, check "Set a different fee per market."

  1. Select a market from the Market dropdown.

  1. Choose a Fee type for that market — for example, a fixed value, or No fee if you want that market exempt from the charge.

  1. If you selected a fixed value, enter the Fee value. The currency shown will match the selected market's currency automatically.
  2. Set the Fee name shown to customers, and toggle Make fee taxable if the fee should have tax applied in that market.

  1. Repeat steps 3–6 for each market you want to configure.

Any market you don't configure will simply use your default fee (the one set above the Per-market fees section) — you don't need to set up every market individually.

📌IMPORTANT: Local currency display and Shopify Plus

Showing the fee in each customer's local currency for manual payment methods like COD requires Shopify Plus. On other plans, the fee is automatically converted to your store's currency at checkout and on the order. The per-market fee amounts you configure still apply on every plan — this only affects how the number is displayed to the customer.

Translated order confirmations

Order confirmations can now be shown in your customers' own language. If you use Shopify's Translate & Adapt app, contact our support team and we'll translate your notification templates for you.

FAQ

  • Do I need to set a fee for every market?

No. Markets without a specific fee configured will use your default fee.

  • Does this change my existing setup if I only have one fee?

No. Your current default fee keeps working as-is unless you enable "Set a different fee per market."

  • Can I remove the fee entirely for one market?

Yes — select that market and set its Fee type to No fee.
