How to Display Cash on Delivery (COD) Only for Specific Countries in Your Shopify Store
If you want to limit the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method in Shopify to specific countries, this tutorial walks you through the process using the Releasit Cash on Delivery COD app. This is especially useful if your shipping provider offers COD only in certain regions, or if you want to restrict COD for logistical or cost reasons.
Install the Releasit Cash On Delivery App
To get started, install the app from the Shopify App Store:
Open the “Limit COD” Page in the App
Once the app is installed, open it and navigate to the Limit COD page in the sidebar menu.
Enable Country Restriction for COD
On the Limit COD page, activate the toggle labeled “ Show cash on delivery only for specific countries”.
Select Countries Where COD Should Be Available
Choose the country (or countries) where you want to make COD available. After selecting, click “ Add country” to save your selection.
Done — COD Now Limited by Country
The Cash on Delivery option will now only appear to customers located in the countries you selected. All other regions will not see the COD option during checkout.
